BODY SCRUBS THAT ROCK! BODY SCRUBS THAT ROCK!

I'm simply obsessed with these jam-like body scrubs from The Body Shop. I have to admit when it comes to body exfoliation, I'm quite a lazy girl...  I often skipped this very important step from my skincare routine but not any more! :) Take a look at these gorgeous jammy body scrubs!

The Body Shop - Blueberry Body Scrub-Gelee 200ml (LIMITED EDITION)

The Body Shop - Wild Argan Oil Rough Scrub 200ml

I've tried first the raspberry kind back in May and I fall in love with this product. Probably I don't have to say I used that one up in no time :) I found the best way to use it with bath gloves and rub it into the skin. You can also buy the gloves at The Body Shop.

I recommened to use body scrubs because...

(1) They leave your skin feeling softer and smoother. (ps. MUCH SOFTER!)
(2) They remove dead skincells off your body and expose a supple layer of younger skin.
(3) They make you feel fresh and rejuvenated.

It is recommended to exfoliate once or twice in a week. Personally I prefer to do it once in a week and it leaves my skin smooth and fresh. After exfoliating I always put a thick layer of body lotion/ body butter on my skin so I'm gonna wake up with baby skin in the next morning!

I love these scrubs from The Body Shop because they are gentle, smell delicious and they don't leave your skin with dry feeling at all! I suggest you to check these out when you are close to your local Body Shop store --> Kringlan Shopping Center (Reykjavik-Iceland), Smaralind Shopping Center (Kopavogur-Iceland) & Gleratorg (Akureyri, North-Iceland).

Until next time,

Eva

PRODUCT REVIEW - Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color Shade Extensions (NEW!) PRODUCT REVIEW - Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color Shade Extensions (NEW!)

Bobbi Brown added five new shades to her rich lip color lipstick range and I've got to try two of them.

On the left: Miami Pink - On the right: Blazing Red

Bobbi's Inspiration > 'For a great complement to a season of nude, a complete surprise - a bright lip. It's young, fresh and completely on trend. These modern brights are not only stunning, but flattering and wearable. They're super-pigmented and look awesome with a clean nude face.' - Bobbi Brown

My absolute favourite shade is 'Blazing Red' which I'm wearing on the picture above. I've found it always hard to wear bright colours on my lips, especially red ones but I can say now I've found my perfect red lipstick! :)

'Blazing Red' is a bright coral-red with yellow undertones. According to Bobbi Brown, these lipsticks are “lightweight, yet intense” and have “a clear base to deliver pure, crisp color with just one swipe.” The formula is also “creamy and moisturizing.”
Often I find matt lipsticks soo drying on my lips but these Rich Lip Colors are definitely not one of those. They are very easy to apply and are long-lasting.

'Miami Pink' is a bright pink without being a neon. This shade is more on the cooler side of the scale. It's a very pretty bright pink lipstick.

As Bobbi recommended I just made a nude look and used nothing else but mascara on my eyes. Here are the products I used on my face:

From left on the top >> (1) Bobbi Brown Brow Shaper in the shade 'Mahogany' - (2) L'Oreal True Match Concealer in the shade 'Beige' - (3) Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer in the shade '01 Light' - (4) Estee Lauder Double Wear All-Day Glow BB Moisture Makeup SPF 30 in the shade 'Intensity 2.0'
Bottom row>> (5) Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in the shade 'Blazing Red' - (6) Shiseido Smoothing Lip Pencil in the shade 'Tangelo' (I'm not sure about this one) - (7) Estee Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow Highlighter in the shade '2W Light Medium' - (8) Bobbi Brown No Smudge Mascara in Black.

I hope you find this post helpful! Have a nice weekend :)

PRODUCT RAVE #1 - Estée Lauder Double Wear All-Day Glow BB Moisture Makeup SPF 30 & Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter PRODUCT RAVE #1 - Estée Lauder Double Wear All-Day Glow BB Moisture Makeup SPF 30 & Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter

I was planning to write this review for a couple of days now but I just couldn't sit down on my butt and begin typing, but now! :)
I've been testing these newest Estée Lauder products for a week or so and I have to say I'm impressed!

Let's get started with the Double Wear All-Day Glow BB Moisture Makeup SPF 30. Yes, quite a long name for one product :) I'm gonna stuck with the name BB cream for the rest of the post as it's listed under the cathegory BB creams on their website (www.esteelauder.com).

As you can see on my picture it has a very creamy texture which helps you to apply it on your skin smoothly. My Real Techniques Buffing Brush (Core Collection) does the job perfectly.
TIP! You only need a tiny amount of product and it's enough to cover your whole face. I did a mistake first when I applied way to much  on to my skin and my faced looked like a discoball :)

I would say this product is somewhere in between a BB cream and a foundation. If I have to, I would definitely say it's more like a foundation than a BB cream. It gives you medium coverage with a radiant finish. My skin looks fresh and with a natural glow. It stays on my face all day without any powder or re-application! :) Don't be scared because of the "ALL-DAY GLOW" name, it gives you just the right amount of radiance, you won't look like you have an oily skin day at all!
Another bonus is that it contains SPF 30 so it protects your skin and it's great for the summer! :)
I'm using the shade Intensity 2.0 which is the second lightest shade and it's the perfect match to my skin! The price of the products is around 8000 ISK so it's definitely not cheap but it's worth every penny in my opinion and because you really just need a tiny amount of it for each usage it lasts for a longer period of time! You can also got some good deals on makeup products during TAX FREE days in Hagkaup for example. It's a good way to stay aware of ongoing promotions to press a LIKE on Estée Lauder's Icelandic Facebook Page. :)

Another product has just launched at the same time with the All-Day Glow BB cream... It's the Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter. I'm using the shade 2W Light Medium (Warm).
As the name indicates it's a highlighter, but I would definitely recommened to use it as an under-eye concealer if you don't have very dark circles. If you have, you can also use it on the top of your concealer. It gives you a light-medium coverage and brightens up your under-eye area and wherever you put it. I'm using it also to highlight my cheeks. It's very easy to apply because it's like a pen, you paint on your face with the brush and you just turn the top to get more product out of it. It works exactly like Touche Eclat from Yves Saint Laurent and it looks similar but the Estée Lauder Highlighter pen gives you a bit more coverage in my opinion. It's around 6000 ISK.

I love using both products but if I have to choose one of them, I would definitely go for the BB Glow Foundation! I hope you find this post useful! :)

Until next time,

Eva

NEW WILD ARGAN OIL RANGE FROM THE BODY SHOP! NEW WILD ARGAN OIL RANGE FROM THE BODY SHOP!

The complete Wild Argan Oil range

I really didn´t see this coming! I haven´t read or heard anything about the "Wild Argan Oil"  range so it was quite a surprise when I saw a pic about it on Icelandic Facebook Page of The Body Shop.

Of course I had to check it out immediately (haha)! It smells sooooo good and it´s not expensive compared to other products at The Body Shop. Actually the 'Wild Argan' Body Butter has the same price tag as any other body butters at the store even though argan oil is quite an expensive ingredient. The complete range includes Body Butter, Body Scrub, Shower Gel, Pressed Argan Oil, Bubble Bath Melt, Argan Oil (Spray?), Massage Soap. Sorry if I haven´t written the names correctly but because this is a completely NEW range, I haven´t find any informations or reviews on the internet and I haven´t bought the whole Argain Oil collection (yet) :D

Here are the products I bought:

I haven´t had a body butter for ages, because I´m using The Body Shop´s Body Lotions but if my skin gets dry, this is gonna be the perfect product to use :) and because I love "matchy" shower gel and body lotion/butter I just "had to" by the Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel too :)

I literally can´t wait to jump in a shower and try out these gorgeous products! :)

BEAUTY RESTOCK #1 BEAUTY RESTOCK #1

There are some products I'm loving so much and using a lot, so I need to have them all the time. Usually as soon as I finish something, I'm not buying the exact same product again because I would like to try  new ones, but as you can see on the picture I have a couple of things I'm just obsessed with.

1-2. Neutrogena - Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub & Facial Wash (I wrote about these products before on my blog --> HERE!

3. The Body Shop - Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover
The best eye make-up remover I've ever tried and believe me I've tried sooo many different type of removers before and much more expensive ones. This make-up remover is gentle, doesn't irritate my eyes at all, doesn't smell like alcohol and just does a great job.

4. Maybelline - Brow Drama (Sculpting Brow Mascara) in the shade 'medium brown'
I love this formula! You can fix your brows in 30 seconds perfectly. It works very well for me and it has a very good price :)

5. Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35
This is the best BB cream in my opinion although I've tried many, but in the end I'm always coming back to the Bobbi Brown one. I have the shade 'Fair' and it matches with my skin tone perfectly. It covers so well, it's almost like a foundation. I'm very lucky with my skin so this BB Cream is enough for me to cover any redness on my face and it lasts all day long! This BB cream is my everyday make-up product.

6. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream (enriched mineral water & aloe vera)
This is my first eye-cream ever. I've started to use eye-cream 2 years ago right after my 25th birthday. I've just needed something light, hydrating cream which leaves my eye-area soft and refreshed.

7. EOS Hand Lotion
I love hand creams and I always carry 1 or 2 tubes in my handbag :) This is a new discovery for me. I fall in love with the packaging because it's so practical. Otherwise it smells delicious, 97% natural ingredients and it's paraben-free.

MY TOP 5 RESTAURANTS IN REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND MY TOP 5 RESTAURANTS IN REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND

I´m a very picky eater so it´s quite hard for me to find places where I can actually eat. (I´m driving my friends and family crazy, haha) I´m really not into fancy restaurants either, they make me feel very uncomfortable. I don´t know why, but this is the way it is.
My boyfriend (Daniel) and my brother (Csaba) are working as chefs in Reykjavík, so they are recommending me very good meals according to my taste :) When I was scrolling down on my phone for food photos, it made me  realised how many restaurant I´ve actually tried during the last couple of month. Here are some pictures about my favourite meals and restaurants. Enjoy!

1. SUSHI SAMBA - I would say it´s a MUST for sushi lovers! The best sushi you can get in Reykjavík in my opinion. The restaurant is located downtown. I went 3 times already in a very short period of time :)

"Aspas Tempura" sushi roll - Sushi Samba

2. VITABAR - Another MUST! They have the best burgers in town. No joke. Vitabar is located just 3 minutes walk from Laugavegur, the main shopping street. ps. Their steak is delicious too!

"Óstborgaratilboð" - Vitabar

3. SNAPS BISTRO-BAR - One of the best restaurants in Reykjavík. I´m addicted to their fish of the day and pancakes but let the pictures talk... :)

'Snaps Ricotta'  (vegetarian) - Snaps

'Catch of the day' (hlýri)

'Pancakes & Coffee Latte' - Snaps

'Steak bernaise' - Snaps

4. PRIKIРis more like a bar than a restaurant but you can find some good meals there and the prices are ridiculously low compared to the average price at the city center.

'MR bagel, sweet fries and a five dollar milkshake' - Prikið

5. THE LAUNDROMAT CAFE - I´ve used to go there a lot but the prices went up quite a bit lately. The atmosphere is still unique and the food is good! I love their smoothies :)

'Pancakes and a smoothie' - The Laundromat Coffee

Of course I could go on with my list, but these are my top 5! I´m also gonna do a list soon about my favourite cofee places! Stay tuned! :)

Until next time,

Eva

A 'MINI' BODY SHOP HAUL A 'MINI' BODY SHOP HAUL

As I wrote yesterday, there's been 20% OFF at The Body Shop in Kringlan so I just 'had to' visit the store and I've got some goodies I would like to share with you.

1. Vineyard Peach Body Lotion (Limited Edition) - I'm currently using the Blueberry Body Lotion and there's  a tiny bit left at the bottom of the bottle so I really wanted to buy a new one. I bought last month the Vineyard Peach Shower Gel and it smells heavenly!!! I'm pretty sad it's a LIMITED EDITION range and it's sold out in Iceland. So that's why I got the body lotion instead. I think this bottle with the pump is very practical. I like the body lotion even more than the body butter. The texture of the lotion is more creamy and again I love that it comes with a pump. As I got to know today the body butter hydratates your skin for 24 hours and the lotion is for 12 hours. I don't have a very dry skin so especially for the summer I don't mind the difference.

2. Blueberry Shower Gel (Limited Edition) - I've already bought this one once before and it smells amazing (like almost everything at The Body Shop, haha). I've got the Blueberry Body Lotion so it's the perfect combination.

3. Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash (60 ml) - May be it's sound weird but I'm gonna use this product to clean my make up brushes. I've got the idea actually today from The Body Shop's UK YouTube channel that they are using this facial wash to clean make up brushes. Of course you can also use shampoo for example but I would like to give this a try. It's quite handy because you can buy travel size (like I did) so it's actually not expensive.

HERE you can see a great video about how can you clean your brushes! :)

4. Bath Gloves - I've never tried this one before but it says on the label 'use with shower gel on exfoliation'. Let's see how it goes :)

5. Organic Cotton Pads - Amazing stuff! I know many people are thinking "why would I spend more money on cotton pads when I can buy much cheaper at Bonus?" but for me The Body Shop Cotton Pads are worth every extra penny. They are very soft, organic, and also I can use only one pad to remove my make up while I have to use at least 3 of the Euroshopper kind. So they last much longer. I'm using the Body Shop ones on a daily basis for removing make up,  for cleansing etc...

As you can see I'm quite a big Body Shop fan :)
Until next time,

Eva
